DESCRIPTIVE

Teks deskriptif ( deskriptive text )adalah teks yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sesuatu yang spesifik /khusus seperti seseorang,bintang,suatu benda,atau suatu tempat.Struktur teks deskriptif,yaitu :
1, indentication
  a.Berisi nama ,pekerjaan,profesi,dan karir (jika objeknya seseorang )
  b.Berisi nama dari tempat yang akan dideskripsikan (jika objeknya suatu tempat )
2.Description
   a. Berisi keterangan dari ciri-ciri fisik,cara dia/orang yang didesskripsikan berpakaian,kepribadian si objek. (untuk objek orang)
   b.Berisi kualitas, bagian-bagian, dan karakteristik/ciri-ciri.( untuk objek tempat / benda)
   Note : Teks deskriptive menggunakan present tense.
contoh :       The National Monument
The National monuments is located at the center of merdeka square. the square is situted between the old and the new past of jakarta, the monument was bulit in 1961 to commemorate indonesia's fight for independence from dutch. the monument is 137 meters of high and has 35 kilograms of gold leaf on its top. the gold leaf represents the flame of freedom.
  visitors can ride  in the elevator to reach below the flame (115 meter high).from here you can see most of down town jakarta. you can look down on noisy merdeka square (one squares kilometer), one of the largest squares in the world. you can also visit the museum at the bottom of the  monument.here, you can see dioramas showing indonesia's history.
